Learning to love myself at any size has been a journey of self-acceptance and grace. 🌸 Why is it that we can look at others and see their beauty in every shape, but when it comes to ourselves, we’re our own toughest critics? It took some deep self-reflection to understand that loving myself means embracing my body, no matter the size.
I decided to walk the talk. I refreshed my wardrobe with clothes that made me feel fabulous and stopped waiting for the scale to tell me when I could feel good about myself.
If I’m to teach my daughter about body positivity, it starts with me. Every time I passed a mirror, I made it a point to compliment myself instead of picking apart my flaws. This small act of kindness towards myself was transformative.
Here’s the twist: once I embraced self-love, my body naturally found its balance. It’s a reminder that our bodies respond to the way we treat and talk to ourselves. Let’s be kinder, gentler, and more accepting of ourselves. After all, self-love isn’t just a concept, it’s a practice. And it starts with us. ❤️
